REFERRALS & FEES

Everyone is welcome, from niggling injuries, complex trauma, reconstructions, arthritic changes to 1 day post operation appointments. Albury Wangaratta Hand Therapy is a private hand therapy clinic which does incur a fee for service in most cases rebates are available. Consultation and consumable charges (i.e. Splints) will be discussed during your appointment.

REFERRAL PATHWAYS

Private Consultation

No referral is needed. On the spot private health fund claiming (if OT is provided by your health insurance) and Bupa accredited orthosis provider.

Workers compensation (Icare/Worksafe etc) Referral necessary including a specific description of injury (and the area affected). Billed directly to the relevant Workcover insurer - all states and territories accepted.

Motor Vehicle Accidents/CTP

Referral necessary including a specific description of the injury (and the area of body to be treated).

Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP)

A CDMP referral is required from your GP, (OT sessions selected) if you are suitable. These consultations incur a gap cost to the client, once the rebate has been applied.

Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA)

D904 referral form required from GP’s (generally valid for 12 visits). Billed directly to DVA.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Can be billed privately and at a below NDIS rate than other NDIS providers.

Workplace Injury Prevention

Patients can be seen (e.g. FPES) and other workplace injury management programs prior to having to start a workers compensation program.

Cancellation policy

Albury Wangaratta Hand Therapy Pty Ltd's cancellation policy states that any cancellation or rescheduling of your appointment will incur up to 100% of consultation cost if cancelled within 24hrs of the appointment commencement time and 50% of consultation cost if cancelled within 48hrs of appointment commencement time.
